SCSD responded to a fire alarm activation at Hillside Children Center, 4887 Rte 96A, building 703 in the Town of Varick. After an investigation it was determined that the alarm had been falsely set. Deputies arrested Kaitlyn M. Fredette, age 16 of Hillside. Kaitlyn was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the second degree, a class E Felony and was issued an appearance ticket and returned to Hillside. Fredette will appear before the Town of Varick Court on 01/25/2012 at 1900 hrs to answer the charge. Deputies where assisted atthe scene by Varick Fire Dept.
