The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division arrested Ronald J. Manino, 48, of 39 Spring Street, Seneca Falls, New York, on numerous charges following an investigation into alleged illicit drug sales. Manino was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Class B Felonies, and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Class B Felonies. It is alleged that Manino was in possession of thirty individually packaged baggies of heroin while operating a vehicle on Route 96 in the Town of Waterloo when stopped by Sheriff’s Deputies. It is also alleged that Manino was intending to sell the heroin in the Waterloo and Seneca Falls area.Additionally, it is alleged that Manino sold a quantity of a narcotic drug known as “opana” or “oxymorphone” on two separate occasions in November of 2011. This narcotic drug is commonly used in the treatment of pain for cancer patients.At the time of the arrest, Manino also held an active bench warrant out of the Seneca Falls Town Court for failure to pay fine on a charge of Harassment in the second degree. Manino was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail. Manino is to reappear in the Seneca Falls Town Court on December 23, 2011 at 9:30am. The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team assisted in the investigation.
