NYCC to Graduate 91 Doctors of Chiropractic

Seneca Falls: On Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 10:00 am, New York Chiropractic College will hold commencement exercises in its Athletic Center and confer degrees upon 91 candidates for Doctor of Chiropractic. The doors will open at 9:00 am. C. Michael Begley has been chosen by his classmates to have the honor of addressing the assembly.Keith S. Overland, DC, (NYCC ’81) C.C.S.P., F.I.C.C., and president of the American Chiropractic Association will deliver the commencement address. In recent years, Dr. Overland has been the chiropractic consultant for the New York Mets baseball team, the United States Olympic training center, and the 2002 Olympic U.S. speed skating team. He taught at the U.S. Open Tennis Coaches Conference and is the medical editor for the New England Tennis Magazine. Dr. Overland was first elected to the ACA board of governors in 2005 and served on the Health Care Reform Task Force. Overland is past president of the Connecticut Chiropractic Association and the New England Chiropractic Council, was the recipient of the Connecticut Chiropractic of the Year award three times and in 2002 received the Delegate of the Year award from the American Chiropractic Association. Co-chair of the Connecticut Governors Committee on Physical Fitness and a member of Senator Joseph Lieberman’s Health Care Task Force, Dr. Overland currently practices in Norwalk, Conn.For further information about NYCC’s degree programs, please visit www.nycc.edu .
