On Tuesday October 25, 2011 at 9:00 PM, the Waterloo Village Police Department arrested Brandyn L. Backus, age 25, of 931 Marsh Road, SenecaFalls NY on warrants following 2 separate Domestic incidents. Mr. Backus was charged with Assault 2nd degree (a Felony) for an incident thatoccurred on March 11, 2011. Mr. Backus allegedly struck a resident during a dispute causing serious physical injury to the person that resulted in the victim being hospitalized for several days.The second charge stems from an incident on October 25, 2011 were Mr. Backus allegedly damaged a laptop computer, punched a victim in thestomach, neck and spit in the victims face. Mr. Backus was charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd degree (a Felony) and Harassment 2nd degree.Mr. Backus was arraigned on all 3 charges in the Village of Waterloo Court and was sent to the Seneca County Jail on $15,000 Cash Bail/$30,000 BailBond. Mr. Backus is scheduled back in Waterloo Court on October 31, 2011. The court on behalf of the victim issued an order of protection.
