Arrest after gun, sword stolen from W’loo home

Waterloo Village Police Department on October 4th., 2011, at 8:15 P.M. arrested Daniel A. Tuck, age 25, of 172 Haney St., Watertown, N.Y. on charges of criminal mischief 3rd.(felony), grand larceny 4th.(firearm-felony), and petit larceny. It is alleged Tuck entered a Village of Waterloo residence on Oct. 3rd. by breaking a entry glass window and entering through the door. Tuck while inside the residence, damaged a flat screen TV, and a computer monitor. Tuck also stole a 12 ga. shot gun, shot gun ammunition, and a samuri sword. Tuck was located in the City of Syracuse, and was apprehended by the NYSP BCI Unit at a motel where he was staying. Waterloo and Syracuse New York State Police BCI Units assisted in the investigation, and the stolen property was recovered. Tuck was arraigned in the Waterloo Village Court, and was committed to the Seneca Co. Correctional on no bail.Police also also received information that the suspect was wanted by military authorities as he was reported AWOL. Army military authorities at Fort Drum in Watertown, N.Y. were notified and will take appropriate action.
