Optimax, of Ontario, NY, was recently recognized as one of “America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies” through Inc. Magazine’s 2011 list. Optimax is an optics manufacturing company. In a release from Optimax, they state:”We are committed to innovation and greater reliability for precision optics and are investing over $5 million to double our manufacturing capacity. In 2010 and now late into 2011, Optimax has experienced substantial increases in business resulting in the decision to add 20,000 sq. ft. to our manufacturing facility that will create more than 60 new jobs.”The 2011 Inc. 500/5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2010. The minimum revenue required for 2007 was $100,000; the minimum for 2010 was $2 million. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue.
