Yates County District Attorney Jason Cook and Sheriff Ron Spike will hold a news conference at the Yates County Public Safety Building, 227 Main St, Penn Yan NY on Monday, October 3 at 10AM to announce results of the Yates County Grand Jury that heard the case against Steven A. Eldridge, 42, of Penn Yan, NY who was arrested and who has been an inmate in the Yates County Jail since his arrest being held on $125K bail or $250K bond charged with multiple counts of criminally negligent homicide and other related vehicle and traffic charges from his operating a car on the pre-emption road that struck a van with Amish farmers and then the van collided head-on with a farm sprayer tractor causing six deaths and several serious injuries on July 19, 2011 in the town of Benton.
