Sheriff David Gould reports that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the theft of an aluminum break. The break was stolen from inside of a utility trailer parked at a residence on Rt. 34 in the Town of Ira on Tuesday. The break is described as a “Tapco” brand, 10’6” long, silver in color and valued at approximately $2000.00. A break is a tool used for bending metal trim pieces for buildings. The Sheriff’s Office requests that anyone with any information regarding this investigation contact Detective Steve Smith at (315) 253-4869.
