Seneca County Sheriffs Deputies investigated a three car personal injury accident that occurred on Rt. 96A just north of Kennedy Road in the Town of Varick. A southbound tractor trailer being operated by Robert A Warden age 60 of Ordinary Virginia was slowing to make sure that it could clear the underpass when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Shirley A Beardslee age 78 of Hall Road in Interlaken NY. Beardslee’s vehicle was then struck from behind by a vehicle being operated by William H Rinkewich age 54 of Rte 38 B in Endicott, NY. Beardslee was transported by South Seneca Ambulance to Strong Memorial hospital for a check over. Rinkewich was uninjured. Beardslee’s vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.
