Crash in Canandaigua injures elderly woman

Canandaigua, N.Y. — A 92-year-old woman was injured Sunday afternoon after a two-car crash. Marian Falkey, of 2167 County Road 4, Seneca Castle, was traveling westbound on Routes 5 and 20 when she allegedly made a left turn onto Parrish Street Extension in front of a driver who had the right of way, according to Ontario County sheriff’s deputies. Canandaigua ambulance crews took both drivers to hospitals. Falkey was taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital with arm and leg injuries, deputies said. Her condition was not immediately available. The driver of the other car, Jane Gruschow, 50, of 3700 West Lake Road, Canandaigua, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain to her neck and body. She was discharged, a hospital spokesperson said. Cheshire firefighters responded to the scene. Both drivers were wearing set belts, deputies said.
