Gorham, N.Y. — A Horseheads man participating in the Finger Lakes Triathlon Sept. 11 was hit on Route 247 and County Road 18 in Gorham while riding his bicycle, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies. Scott Erdman, 43, was crossing Route 247 from County Road 18 heading west on his bicycle, when he collided with a 2004 Dodge pickup truck was ejected from his bike, deputies said. Erdman was treated at the scene for injuries to his left elbow, left hip and left ankle. He was treated and releases from FF Thompson Hospital, said a hospital spokeswoman. The driver of the truck, John Green, of Canandaigua, was uninjured, deputies said. No tickets were issued.
