Gas Free Seneca at Glen meeting tonight – FingerLakes1.com Archive

Gas Free Seneca is on the Agenda for the Village of Watkins Glen Board of Trustees meeting to be held this Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 7:00pm in the Municipal Building located at 303 North Franklin St. Watkins Glen, NY. At issue is the Inergy, LP proposed LPG storage project now under review by the DEC. Gas Free Seneca intends to present the Mayor of Watkins Glen, Mr. Mark Swinnerton, and the Board of Trustees with a list of nearly 120 local small businesses and 3,500 signatories to a petition, local residents as well as visitors to Seneca Lake, all of whom are opposed to the project. We also intend to respectfully request that the Village of Watkins Glen officials hear concerns about the project in a public format, prior to the DEC sponsored Public Hearing on Sept. 27th.
