One arrested after late nite melee in Canandaigua

Canandaigua, N.Y. — An after-hours melee in the parking lot of a downtown nightclub led a bouncer to use pepper spray on several participants before police arrived and dispersed the crowd. City police say they responded to a report of fighting outside the Freedom Station nightclub on Pleasant Street at about 2:15 Sunday morning. “People were fighting and throwing rocks and beer bottles at one another,” according to the police report.
