Mr. Steven A. Eldridge, 42, of Penn Yan, who was arrested on July 19 was returned to the Yates County Jail last week after his evaluation at the Rochester Psychiatric Center and stands charged with six counts of felony criminally negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated (drugs/alcohol), reckless driving, and several vehicle and traffic charges allegedly causing the fatal accident. He remains in the county jail on $125K bail or $250K bond pending Grand Jury action.”We have received the official findings of the regional crime labs analysis, and we have completed our accident reconstruction, criminal investigation, and reenactment of the collision,” said Spike, “the findings have been turned over to Yates County District Attorney Jason Cook, and the matter will be presented and submitted to the Yates County Grand Jury”.
