Genevan arrested for selling Crack

GENEVA — A local man accused of selling crack cocaine in the city was arrested by police Wednesday afternoon. Joemaine L. Bogan, 35, of 306 Castle St., was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Both are class B felonies.Geneva Police Department Lt. Eric Heieck said members of the department’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Bogan about 5 p.m. after an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the city and at a home on High Street. At the time of the arrest, Heieck said Bogan was in possession of about $700 worth of crack and an undisclosed amount of m o n e y . Heieck saida d d i t i o n a l arrests are expected.Bogan was arraigned in city court and taken to theOntario County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or$50,000 bond.
