The Town Board met in special session Friday morning to act on two inter-municipal agreements with the Village Board. The board approved the acceptance of administering a Restore New York state grant from the village. The $1.5 million grant was received to help the NationalWomen’s Hall of Fame convert the former Seneca Knitting Mill building into its new facility. The second agreement approved the transfer of village water and sewer clerk Ann Havelin to work out of the town offices, starting Sept. 1. Havelin will become an official town employee Jan. 1. As of Sept. 1, people will now pay their water and sewer bills at the town clerk’soffice at 81 W. Bayard St.Both moves were related to the dissolution of village government on Dec. 31, as approved by village voters in March 2010. The dissolution means the town willtake over services now provided by the village.
