CANANDAIGUA — A Canandaigua couple were charged Thursday with first-degree promoting prison contraband. Ontario County deputies said Dustie L. Payne, 22,of 564 S. Main St., Canandaigua, is accused of smuggling dangerous contraband to her husband,Jeremy A. Payne, 31, on July 9 while he was incarcerated in the Ontario County Jail.They were arraigned and sent to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail. They will answer the charges later in Hopewell Town Court.
