On Wednesday night, members of the Geneva Police Department executed on a portion of a Fraudulent Check Writing Scheme investigation that was occurring in the City of Geneva. Four persons were arrested in the scheme and held on listed bail. They were scheduled to reappear in Geneva City Court on Thursday morning.Bradd M. Cameron, 31, 27 Berwick Place, Rochester, in the amount of $15,000 to $30,000Roman B. Warchol, 31,1210 White Swan Drive, Rochester NY in the amount of $20,000 to $40,000Shawn P. Conley, 29, 490 Augustine Street, Rochester NY in the amount of $20,000 to $40,000Gina M. DePalma, 28, Yerkes Road Canandaigua in the amount of $10,000 to $20,000The suspects were continually driving from Rochester and cashing these fraudulent checks. The above listed were caught inside Saglimbeni’s Liquor Store after attempting to cash four fraudulent checks.The Geneva Police Department were aware of the group’s recent events and detailed both undercover and uniformed officers to apprehend them should they strike again. As a result of the undercover operation, the four named individuals were apprehended in the act and the vehicle used was impounded.Each suspect has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony. Several more arrests are imminent and further charges against the above are expected to be lodged.To date, the check cashing scheme has resulted in a loss of approximately $10,000 from local businesses.Anyone with information of this crime or suspect of any check used in business transactions should contact Detective M.
