Mercy Flight called to East Lake Rd. crash in Fayette

The Seneca County Sheriffs Office reports, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to East Lake Road in the area of Kime Beach Road, Town of Fayette, for the report of a Personal Injury Motor Vehicle accident. Upon arrival it was determined that a vehicle being operated by Sydney M. Butler, age 17, of 2370 Edwards Road, Waterloo, NY was traveling Southbound when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch. After striking the ditch, the vehicle rolled multiple times and came to rest in a field on the West side of the road. A passenger in the vehicle, Missy A. Dennis, age 16, of 1010 Dublin Road, Waterloo, NY, was transported to Geneva General Hospital for chest pains by North Seneca Ambulance. A second passenger in the vehicle, Brad C. Steinruck, age 16, of 19 West Water St. Waterloo, NY, was transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital due to the extensive damage to the vehicle where he was sitting and for multiple cuts to his extremities. A third passenger in the vehicle, Thomas A. France, age 16, of 65 E River St. Waterloo, NY, and Butler, were checked over by North Seneca Ambulance and determined to be uninjured in the accident. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the NYSP and Border City Fire Department. Butler was issued citations for Operating Out of Class as well as Failure to Use Designated Lane. She is scheduled to appear at the Town of Fayette Court on 08/31/2011.
