New York State’s highest court will not hear the appeals of two men convicted in a gang assault in Seneca Falls.The decision dated July 20 rejected further appeals from William Meacham and Marvin Snyder, who are serving lengthy prison terms for the Sept. 26 attack at the Hunter’s Run apartment complex on Peterman Road in Seneca Falls. The victim, Adrian Porter was attacked after he posted William Meacham’s registered sex offender photo at the apartment complex. Mr. Ported suffered such severe head injuries in that attack, he was unable to testify at the trial.Also convicted in the incident was Meacham’s sister, Stephanie Meacham who was sentenced to 13 years in prison. Another Meacham sibling, Angela Meacham Wheeler, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of week-ends in the Seneca County Correctional Facility.Two other siblings charged in the assault, Brandon and Justin Meacham, accepted plea offers and were sentenced on misdemeanor conspiracy charges in Seneca Falls Town Court.
