6th victim of last week’s crash in Benton dies

The Yates County Sheriff’s Department reports that a 6th victim of the 7/19/2011 crash in Benton has died at Strong Memorial Hospital late this afternoon from internal injuries suffered from the accident. She had been in guarded condition since the event.ELVA J. HERSHBERGER, Age 39 of 3445 Highup Road, Jasper, NY –she was the wife of Melvin, age 40 that died the day of the accident.The charges against Eldridge will now go to 6 counts.
