The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports Deputies investigated a vehicle fire at 3482 Potter Road,Interlaken, NY. A vehicle being operated by Garth W. Holford, age 21 of the above address was traveling Westbound on Potter Road in a 1997 Ford Escort when the rear right tire blew. The driver continued to drive his vehicle Westbound on Potter Road until he arrived at his residence. Holford then parked the vehicle and a few moments later the vehicle caught fire. Upon Deputies arrival, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Interlaken Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. In checking Holford driver’s license, it was determined that he has multiple suspensions. Holford was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree and Uninspected Motor Vehicle. He is scheduled to appear at the Town of Covert Court on 08/15/2011 at 10:00am to answer to the charges.
