Seneca Falls: On Saturday, July 30, 2011 New York Chiropractic College will hold commencement exercises in the Athletic Center of the Seneca Falls campus with doors opening at 8:30 AM and the ceremony beginning at 9:30 AM. Graduates will include 30 Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) candidates, 23 Master of Science in Acupuncture (MSA) or Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) and 36 Applied Clinical Nutrition (MSACN). Three graduates will receive dual DC/MSACN degrees and two will be receive dual AOM/ACN degrees.Students who will have the honor of addressing their respective classes are: Thomas Lillie representing the Doctor of Chiropractic class, Mary Conley Sarratori representing the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine students, and Jeb Albro, DC, to address the Applied Clinical Nutrition class. NYCC Alumnus, John Scaringe, DC, (‘87) will act as keynote speaker for the event. Dr. Scaringe holds a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from California State University, Long Beach. Having served as vice president of academic affairs at Southern California University of Health Sciences for approximately three years, Dr. Scaringe was named interim president in 2009 and appointed president in May 2010. Points of interest:Dr. Albro, an instructor in the chiropractic degree program at NYCC and Darlene Easton, LAc, an AOM instructor, will both be receiving their MSACN.Mary Conley Sarratori (AOM class president) will receive her MSAOM and her sister Megan Conley (secretary of the class) will receive her MSA.
