Mercy Flight for man in dirt bike accident in Ovid

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports Deputies investigated a personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred in the area of 1752 Gilbert Road, Ovid, New York. Deputies responded to 2170 E. Seneca St. in Ovid for the report of a male who crashed his dirt bike. It was determined that Robert B. Cooper, age 21, of 607 Route 41, Freehold, New York, was attempting to jump his dirt bike when he lost control and was ejected over the handlebars. The force of the impact caused Coopers helmet to come off. Cooper was complaining of shoulder, leg, and chest pain. Cooper was then flown by Mercy Flight Central to Strong Memorial Hospital. Deputies were assisted at the scene by South Seneca Ambulance and Ovid Fire Department
