2-car accident on Rt. 414 in Fayette – FingerLakes1.com Archive

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on July 11th 2011 at 4:10 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to State Route 414 in the Town of Fayette for the report of a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival it was determined that Gene Freese, age 38, of 3776 County Rd. 141 Interlaken N.Y. was traveling southbound on State Route 414 when he attempted to pass another southbound vehicle in front of him that had signaled right to turn into a private driveway . As Freese started to pass the vehicle being driven by Thomas J. Burke age 34 of 310 Dahlia Pl. Corona Del Mar, Ca. Burke decided to turn his vehicle left into a driveway causing Freese to strike Burkes vehicle in the driver’s side door. Both parties were checked over at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and Freese was transported to Geneva General Hospital for treatment of neck pain. Burke was uninjured in the crash. Fayette Fire Dept. also assisted on scene.
