Seneca County Sheriff’s Office report that Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one car personal injury accident at the intersection of Route 5&20 and Reed RD. in the Town Of Waterloo. The driver of the car Marybeth Sears age 21 of 2637 Brewer RD Waterloo, NY 13165 was westbound on Route 5&20 when she swerved to avoid a collision with a dog that ran into the roadway. Sears struck a telephone pole on the north side of Route 5&20 at Reed RD. causing the pole to break in two. Sears was transported by her mother to Geneva General Hospital where she was treated and released for a fractured wrist. Waterloo Fire Dept. assisted at the scene with traffic while N.Y.S.E.G. repaired the pole.
