On June 23, 2011 at approx. 11:59PM, the Village of Seneca Falls Police were dispatched 10 State Street Apartment A for a possible domestic in progress. On scene officers then spoke with Jonathan A. Preston, age 27. While interviewing Preston he stated to officers that he was home with his wife, Alicia M. Weir, age 20 and friends. Preston then gave permission to officers to enter his residents where officers then observed three other minors.While speaking with all parties officer’s then heard a noise coming from the bathroom area. With permission from Weir to enter the bathroom officers then observed a 13 year old male incoherent and unresponsive lying in the shower. North Seneca Ambulance was then called to the scene where the 13 year old was then rushed to Geneva General Hospital for treatment.Through further investigation officers then learned that Preston allegedly bought alcohol for Weir, the 13 year old male, a 14 year old male, 16 year old male and a 17 year old male, then permitted them to consume the alcohol in his and Weir’s apartment. At the completion of the investigation officers then charged Preston with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.Wier, along with the 16 and 17 year old male were also charged with Possession of Alcohol under 21 years of age, Endangering the Welfare of the Child and Unlawfully Dealing with a Child. All parties were then arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Mahoney where they were then committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 ins bond. All parties have to appear back in court on July 13, 2011 at 9:00AM.
