Local tourism leaders are expanding their efforts to garner national media attention for the Finger Lakes Region by hosting Peter Greenberg, Travel Editor for CBS News for a taping of his nationally syndicated radio show, Peter Greenberg Worldwide.Peter Greenberg is America’s most recognized and respected front-line travel journalist. Peter’s show is heard on over 400 stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. It is broadcast each week from a different remote location around the world. Part of his tour will include a flight over Keuka and Seneca Lakes, and a boat tour of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal from Seneca Falls to Waterloo.The Finger Lakes edition of Peter Greenberg Worldwide will air on Saturday, July 9. Listeners in Rochester can tune into Peter Greenberg Worldwide from 3-5pm on WYSL 1040AM. Elmira has two stations that broadcast Peter’s show from Noon-3pm, 1230 WENY and 1450 WENI. The show airs in Buffalo on 1230 WECK from 6-9pm. Syracuse FM station 105.9 WXTL gets the show on Sunday, June 26 from Noon-3pm.
