SF Farmer’s Market returns next week

Mark your calendars! 9 AM on Wednesday the 15th of June we will be starting the Seneca Falls Farmers Market once again!Please welcome back our fabulous vendors and Alberta, our market manager! Stop by and see our new vendors and if you come by at lunchtime, you will find our friend Chef Sean from the Hotel Clarence cooking up lunch! We are all thrilled to have Sean and his talented crew join us at the park not only as a customer but as a vendor, serving up lunch every week at the Seneca Falls Farmers Market.So come on by, do a little shopping and take a seat in the sun while visiting with neighbors and friends. Memorial Day may have been the unofficial start of summer, but the first day of Farmer’s Market is the start for me!Welcome all! See you next week between 9 AM and 1 PM (or thereabouts) at People’s Park in Seneca Falls!Here’s a recipe to help you plan your visit! STRAWBERRY BANANA CRUNCH MUFFINS1 cup whole wheat flour1/2 cup fine granola or All Bran cereal1/2 cup Splenda or Truvia no calorie sweetener1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp baking powder1/4 tsp salt (sea salt is best, kosher is good, but any will do the job!)1 large banana1 cup fresh sliced strawberries2 tablespoons applesauce1/2 cup milk¼ cup eggbeaters1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 teaspoon ground cinnamonPreheat oven to 350°F.Combine the first 6 ingredients and mix well.Combine the rest of the ingredients in another bowl. Mash the banana with the applesauce to get started and then mix with the rest. Stir in the dry ingredients just until moistened (just a couple of whisks should do the trick). Spray a 12 muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray, or use large muffin liners and evenly distribute the mixture.Bake for about 20 minutes or until tops are golden and toothpick inserted in center of muffin comes out clean.STREUSEL TOPPING ( OPTIONAL, but oh so very good! )Ingredients:3/4 cup sugar3/4 cup flour1 tablespoon water1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon1/4 cup butter, softenedCombine it all together and sprinkle on top of the muffins before baking!
