Composting webinar to be hosted by SCCCE

As part of its Seneca County recycling education efforts, Seneca County Cornell CooperativeExtension will be hosting a webinar entitled: Composting is Easy: Why Don’t People Get it? onTuesday, June 14th from 10 to 11:30 at the SCCCE conference room located on the 3rd floor ofthe Main Street Shop Centre in Waterloo, NY.Learn about managing organic materials at home and in your local community. Presentationswill provide resources for solid waste management educators and other interested communitymembers on common composting challenges and how to address them, and how to increasecomposting at home and at school through innovative training programs and compost bin sales.Presenters include Gary Feinland from the NYS DEC and Jean Bonhotal from the Cornell WasteManagement Institute. Professor Bonhotal is a recognized authority on composting andrecycling, serving as a consultant to numerous organizations and groups, as well as serving as thedirector of the Institute.The event is free and open to the public.
