Investigation continues into fatal Ira accident

Sheriff David Gould reports that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into the fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday May 29th at 11:40am on NYS Rt. 176 in the Town of Ira.Deceased is: Reginald C. Williams, age 81, of Ontario CanadaInjured was: Beverly R. Walters, age 23 of 208 N. Orchard Rd. Solvay, N.Y. along with her 8 year old son Eshier and infant son Darnell.Preliminary investigation reveals that Walters exited Baldwin Rd making a left turn onto NYS Rt. 176 and struck Williams head-on in Williams lane. Williams was northbound at the time.The investigation is continuing.
