Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 05/29/2011 at 11:31 am Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on County Road 129 in the Town of Ovid. Upon arrival Deputies found that a 1998 Chevrolet pick up truck operated by Victor Smith age 68 of 8394 Brokaw Rd. Interlaken, NY was traveling northbound at which time the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Smith was injured during the accident due to the driver side mirror of the truck entering the vehicle and striking him in the arm. Smith was transported by South Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for treatment of a laceration on his arm. A passenger in Smith’s vehicle Rosemarie Crouse age 65 of the same address was uninjured in the accident.
