05/24/2011 AT 5:23 p.m. Waterloo Village Police Dept. responded to a one car PDMVA on North Rd. just east of Inslee St. Lauren Cook, age 17, of 19 Swaby St., Seneca Falls, N.Y. was eastbound on North Rd. when she fell asleep while driving and drove off the roadway. Cook left the south side of the roadway and struck a small ditch, mailbox post, lawn ornament, and a street sign before coming to rest against a tree. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was uninjured, and was was checked over by NSVAC at the scene. Waterloo Fire Dept. assisted at the scene.
