Waterloo Police responded to an accident on Tuesday, 5/24/11 around 4:45 PM in front of LTB’s General Store at 64 Washington St, involving a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.Jennifer Thorne, age 32, of 25 Swaby St in Seneca Falls was driving north on Washington St when Dylan Belcher, age 12, of 95 Stark St in Waterloo emerged from in front of a stopped vehicle and entered into the northbound lane. Thorne was able to brake and swerve, however Belcher’s foot was run over and his body struck the side of Thorn’s vehicle.North Seneca Ambulance and Waterloo Fire Department treated Belcher at the scene and he was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital’s Trauma Unit .Waterloo Police were assisted at the scene by Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies and New York State Troopers. No summons were issued to the driver following the investigation.
