Waterloo Police Dept arrested Dakota D. Bodiford, age 20, from Lumberton, NC on 5/18/11 in connection with two recent daytime home burglaries.Bodiford, who is temporarily living at 402 Railroad Ave in Waterloo, was charged with Burglary 2nd, Grand Larceny 4th, and Criminal Mischief 4th, following a report of a burglary at 2:15 PM on 5/18/11 near the residence he was staying at. Bodiford is accused of stealing a laptop, jewelry, coins and other items from the home. Police were able to recover the laptop and some other items from the burglary, but are still attempting to locate the jewelry and coins.While investigating that burlgary, police learned that another burlgary had been committed on 5/12/11 at 5:30 PM at a different residence located in the same area. Bodiford was charged with Burglary 2nd and Petit Larceny for this incident. Bodiford is accused of stealing clothing, footwear and change from this residence. Police were also able to recover some of the property stolen from this residence.Bodiford was arraigned and sent to Seneca County Jail on $10,000 bail, $30,000 bond. He is scheduled to be back in Waterloo Village Court on 5/24/11.
