2trg to hold open house Friday in Geneva

2trg, an electronic waste (e-waste) recycler based in Cincinnati, OH, opened a new facility in Geneva, NY in April and is hosting a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, May 20, 2011. The ceremony starts at 11:00 a.m. and will be held at the new facility at 122 N. Genesee Street, Geneva, NY 14456. The ceremony is open to the public and will feature guest speakers, a speech from a 2trg owner, the ribbon cutting, refreshments, and a facility tour. Guests will have the opportunity to view secure hard drive destruction with 2trg’s hard drive shredder and the first steps involved in demanufacturing a CRT monitor.Guests are welcome to bring end-of-life computers and technology equipment (e-waste) for recycling. 2trg will accept cable and satellite receivers, computers (desktops and laptops), desktop copiers/fax machines/printers/scanners, digital converter boxes, DVD players, DVRs, electronic and video game consoles, keyboards, mice, MP3 players, servers, televisions (rear projection, LCD, plasma, CRT, and console), VCRs, and other miscellaneous electronics for free. 2trg cannot accept air conditioners, ballasts, car and household batteries, chemicals, gasoline, light bulbs, microwaves, oils, refrigerators, smoke detectors, stoves/ovens, and non-contained toner.
