Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that Sheriffs Investigators arrested two men on charges ofbreaking into a building and stealing scrap metal. Joseph M. Ceravolo, age 31 of 418 West Union StreetNewark, NY and Devin P. Petz, age 24 also of 418 West Union Street Newark, NY were both charged withBurglary 3rd, a felony and Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. Ceravolo was also charges with Unlawful Possessionof Marijuana. A local resident called 911 to report suspicious activity at a residence in the Town of Romulus. ASheriff’s Office patrol in the area quickly responded to the scene and found the two men and a vehicle loadedwith scrap metal. The Deputy took the defendants into custody without incident. Investigators determined thatthe two entered the building on the property illegally with the intent to steal scrap metal located in side thebuilding. The two men were arraigned in Town of Lodi court where Ceravolo was committed to the SenecaCounty correctional facility in lieu of $1000.00 cash or $3000.00 bail bond and Petz was committed in lieu of$5000.00 cash or $10000.00 bail bond. The two men are to re-appear in Town of Lodi Court on 05-10-11 at2:00 pm.
