The City of Auburn, in collaboration with the Auburn YMCA-WEIU and the Cayuga County Tobacco Free Partnership, announced today that a smoke free resolution has been adopted for all City owned Parks, which includes:• Benton Street Playground – 2-4 Benton St. • Bradford Street Playground – 49 Bradford St. • Casey Park – 150 North Division St. • Clifford Field – 81 Mary St. • Columbian Playground – 328-336 Genesee St. • Hoopes Park – Genesee Street• Lincoln Playground – 149 N. Fulton St. • Melone Village Playground – Garrow St. • Osborne Park – Corner of Osborne and Grover St.• Pomeroy Park – End of Bostwick St. • St. Francis Playground – 25 Underwood St. • Seminary Park – 72 Seymour St. • Sherwood Playground – 8-24 Sherwood St. • Wall Street Playground – 152 Wall St.The intent of this resolution is to protect the health, welfare and safety of the community members, visitors, employees and/or volunteers that are using or working at the parks. This resolution will create a healthier environment for families and especially youth that are using the parks.
