Easter night DWI hit and run in Seneca Falls

On 04/24/11 at approximately 12:24 a.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Bill E. Ridley, age 25, of 17 Auburn Road, Seneca Falls, NY for DWI following a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident.Village police state they received a complaint of a hit-and-run on Cowing Street near Bull’s Run. Witnesses reported seeing Ridley’s vehicle strike a parked car near Bull’s Run, which caused damage to Ridley’s vehicle and the parked car.Witnesses then observed Ridley’s vehicle leave the scene of the accident and proceed westbound on Cowing Street. Police were given a description of the vehicle at which point it was subsequently located on Water Street where police initiated a traffic stop.Ridley was found to be operating the motor vehicle and admitted to police that he struck the parked car. Ridley was also charged with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.10.Ridley was processed and released to a 3rd party and is to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on 04/28/11 at 10:00 a.m. Police were able to locate the owner of the parked car and advised the owner of this complaint.
