On 4/20/2011 at 11:31 am, on Lester Rd in Phelps NY, a 2005 Chevrolet sedan operated by Mary A. Hughner, age 77, of Phelps NY was involved in a one-car personal injury motor vehicle accident. The vehicle traveled off the highway down an earth embankment coming to rest in a ditch approximately fifty feet down from the roadway. Members of the Oaks Corners Fire and Phelps Ambulance responded to the scene. Ms. Hughner had to be extricated from vehicle a board up a bank by lines. She was transported via Phelps Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for a check over. Cause of MVA was driver inattention on part of Ms. Hughner.
