Two hurt in accident Tuesday in Canandaigua

On Tuesday, at about 4:18 in the aftern00n, Kristin N Glor, age 18, of Canandaigua and Karen. T. Clement, age 53, also of Canandaigua were involved in a two vehicle crash on County Road 32 at the intersection with Hickox Road in the Town of Canandaigua.Ms. Glor was operating her vehicle in an easterly direction when she attempted to make a left turn onto Hickox Road northbound. In doing so, Ms. Glor failed to yield the right-of-way to the vehicle being operated westbound on County Road 32 by Ms. Clement. Ms. Clement’s vehicle struck Ms. Glor’s vehicle at a right angle in the intersection.Both Ms. Clement and Ms. Gior were wearing their seat belts. Both were transported to Strong Memorial, Hospital in Rochester by Victor-Farmington Ambulance and Canandaigua Ambulance, respectively.The Cheshire Fire Department also assisted at the scene. Ms. Glor was issued a traffic citation. for her failure to yield on the left hand turn; she will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
