The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office investigated a tractor- trailer roll over MVA that occurred on Route 96 in the Town of Varick. Deputies report that a tractor trailer loaded with soybeans was northbound on Rt 96, when the driver Joseph E Crocker of 946 Deal Road in Romulus lost control going around a curve, going across the southbound lane and overturning on the west side of the highway.Crocker was able to exit the truck on his own and was treated at the scene by South Seneca Ambulance for minor abrasions. The truck and trailer are owned by Maybury Farms of Yellow Tavern Road in Waterloo.Deputies report that the road was closed for several hours while the soybeans were transferred to another truck and the wrecked truck and trailer were righted and towed away. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Romulus Fire, Seneca County Emergency Management and the NYSP Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit. Both truck and trailer are believed to be a total loss and the investigation is continuing.
