Man arrested after causing fracus at SF bar

On March 31st 2011 Seneca Falls Police arrested Mark M. Mazzoli, age 47 from 27 White Street Seneca Falls, NY for two counts of Harassment in the second degree; Disorderly Conduct; and Forcible Touching. The arrest stems from an incident at Red’s Place where Mazzoli allegedly became belligerent while inside the establishment. Mazzoli was asked to leave the establishment by a bar tender and other patrons in which Mazzoli complied. While ouside the establishment Mazzoli grabbed the chest of a woman against her will. The woman and Mazzoli then got into a physical confrontation where Mazzoli struck the female with a closed fist in the face causing pain and swelling to her lip. Other patrons from inside the establishment came outside to help the female. During this altercation a male was struck in the face by Mazzoli causing pain, swelling and discomfort. Mazzoli then grabbed a village garbage can and attempted to throw the garbage can through the front door of the bar beforePolice arrived on scene. Mazzoli suffered a small laceration to his forehead during the altercation with the patrons in which he refused treatment on scene by North Seneca Ambulance. Mazzoli was arraigned in the Junius Town Court in front of Judge Laird where Judge Laird found Mazzoli in contempt of court and sentenced Mazzoli to thirty days in jail without bail. While at the Seneca Falls Police Department Mazzoli was treated by North Seneca Ambulance for his head injury. The Seneca County Correctional Facility then picked up Mazzoli at the Seneca Falls Police Department and transported Mazzoli to the Geneva General Hospital for treatment. Mazzoli will be arraigned on the original charges in the Seneca Falls Town Court in front of Judge Mahoney on April 27th, 2011 at 10:00 AM.
