Arrests after car drives thru SF drinking whiskey

On March 15th 2011 at approx. 9:00am Seneca Falls Police arrested Tara N. Tanner age 20 of 1857 River Road Port Byron, Ny for Criminal Contempt 2nd, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on the Highway and Unlawful possession of Alcohol person under the age of 21. James B. Hobby age 31 of 115 North Street Apt. 3 Auburn, NY was arrested for Unlawfully Dealing with a minor, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway. William J. Purcell age 47 of 246 State street Auburn, NY was arrested for conspiracy 6th degree and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. The charges stem from a complaint of a vehicle traveling Southbound into the Village of Seneca Falls on State Route 5 and 20 and that the occupants alledgedly were passing a bottle of alcohol to eachother. Police were able to locate and stop said vehicle on Prospect Street in the Village. Upon investigation it was learned that there was a class “A” order of protection between Tara Tanner and William Purcell who were both in the vehicle. It was also found that a partial bottle of Canadian Whiskey was found in the vehicle. Tanner was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500 Cash Bail $5000 bond. Purcell was arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2000 Cash bail $4000 bond. Hobby was arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court and was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500 cash bail $5000 bond. All were arraigned in front of Judge Mahoney. Tanner, Purcell and Hobby are scheduled to return to the Town of Seneca Falls Court March 23rd 2011 to answer to the charges.
