A Phelps man who head-butted an Ontario County deputy while he was being arrested last year has been sentenced to 6 years in state prison.On Friday, Ontario County court Judge Frederick Reed gave a nearly maximum sentence to Juan Laboy, 34, of 2171 Route 14. A week before, following a three-day trial, a jury convicted him of second-degree assault, resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
