The Curious Savage, written by John Patrick, is a comedic play about Ethel P. Savage, a woman whose husband recently died and left her approximately ten million dollars. The current residents of a sanatorium, called The Cloisters, function normally, except one small ailment…the arrival of Mrs. Savage and her stepchildren.Primarily a comedy, the play sets up a contrast between the residents and Mrs. Savage’s stepchildren. By the end of the play, the viewer wonders who the crazy ones really are. Roles available for 5 men and 6 women, ages 20 to adult.
