Literacy Volunteers of Cayuga County, Inc. will be conducting free Tutor Training Workshops in March and April. Literacy Volunteers of Cayuga County provides free, one-on-one, confidential tutoring to adult learners in Basic Literacy or English as a Second Language. Our services help individuals become independent readers, writers, and speakers of English. Literacy Volunteers believe the gift of literacy is the key that can unlock the doors to employment and personal satisfaction. Upcoming Workshop…. March and April 2011 in Auburn & Union SpringsVolunteer Tutor workshops consist of six sessions over a two-week period. Completion of all sessions is required before a student is assigned.Literacy Volunteers of Cayuga County, Inc. is a non-profit agency formed in 1963 to help reduce the illiteracy rate in Cayuga County, thereby creating a more productive community.
