The Ken Kamholtz Campaign Group is officially announcing that he will be running for the office of Yates County Sheriff in the election to be held in November of 2011.According to Kamholtz’s campaign group, two ideas that will be stressed is that Yates County needs a hometown sheriff with effective ties to each community, township and or village. With those ties will be several focus groups of citizens who will meet to discuss local issues and concerns that are unique to their community. Armed with first hand knowledge he will be better able to deploy resources efficiently and effectively, treating root causes and not symptoms. This snapshot is a fresh approach that Yates County has needed for many years. He will form partnerships that engage in problem oriented policing here at home, not in Albany. Ken will be a respectable hometown sheriff that will tackle hometown problems. With the economy and people of Yates County in mind, Ken will look deep within the budget of the Yates County Sheriff’s department for ways to trim cost of all the departments within the scope of the Yates County Sheriff. We look forward to the campaign and the future of Yates County.
