The Waterloo Police Department investigated a 2 car personal injury motor vehicle accident which occurred at the intersection of North Road and Swift Street.As a result of the investigation, it was determined that a Gregg E. Heidenreich, 55 of 1569 Warncke Road Lyons, NY was traveling east on North Road and failed to stop at a stop sign. Heidenreich’s vehicle hit a vehicle operated by Rosemary R. O’Connor, 70 of 2291 Lower Lake Road Spur Seneca Falls, NY as her vehicle was making a left turn from North Road onto Swift Street. A passenger in Heidenreich’s vehicle, Fred D. Hunt, 60 of 20 Shuler Street Lyons, NY complained of a cut to his knee and pain from his seat belt. Hunt was transported by N.S.A. to Clifton Springs Hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.Heidenreich was issued tickets for Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign and Speed Not Reasonable/Prudent and is to answer the tickets at a later date and time in the Waterloo Village Court.Waterloo Police Department was assisted at the scene by members of Seneca County Sheriff’s Department and Waterloo Fire Department.
