Plane, in flames, falls from the sky in Dundee

The Yates County 911 dispatch center sent deputies to the Andrews Hill Rd and Rt. 230 area in the town of for a report of a plane crash earlier this evening.One caller stated that it sounded like a smaller plane and that it went down with flames showing. The original caller is heading towards the site to find the plane. Dundee fire and ambulance as well as Medic 55 and several county fire coordinators have been called to the scene.Elmira tower has recently cleared a Mooney aircraft N968SM to land in Penn Yan. Deputies are currently checking the Penn Yan airport for the plane. The plane is registered to Rockland Aviation Company. It is a fixed wing single engine Mooney M20R. The plane was reported spotted at 8:15 north of the Crystal Valley Grange on State Rt. 230 off in the woods.
